British Canoe Union UKCC L1 Coach Pre-requisite Course

2 day course - Two star assessment (Canoe and kayak) and Foundation Safety & Rescue Training (FSRT). This is an ideal course for anyone going on a UKCC L1 Coach course, during the 2 days you will practise your two star canoe and kayak skills (our course includes assessment for those who do not hold the award)  and then the FSRT course. The course tutors are at least UKCC L2 Coaches who have been through the new system and know what is expected of candidates.

British Canoe Union UKCC L2 Coach Pre-requisite course

2 day course - Three star assessment (Canoe or kayak) and Foundation Safety & Rescue Training (FSRT). This is an ideal course for anyone going on a UKCC L2 Coach course, during the 2 days you will practice one discipline at three star and the other at a minimum of two star level ( this includes ssessment for those who do not hold the award ) and then the FSRT course.   

At the end of each of these 2 days you will be fully prepared for your forthcoming coaching course and we will help in getting your portfolio ready including session planning (This can be the most daunting part of the assessment). 

Our course tutors are at least UKCC L2 Coaches who have been through the new system and know what is expected of candidates (our lead tutor, Chris, has published articles in CODE on the new level 2 assessment). Remember that under the new system you must be able to coach open canoe and kayak and demonstrate rescues.
