Breaking news: The 2009 young person's event competition rules & documentation are now online.

Pictures of the 2008 Adult Pike View Hike event will be added to the gallery over the next few days, please be patient whilst we restructure our website.

3 competitions, set in the West Pennine Moors, will be held for teams of Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Brownies & Guides in April 2009. Teams of 4 will walk between sets of checkpoints, and attempt to complete a task upon arrival at each checkpoint. A question sheet (the "ongoing incident") is also answered en-route. Points are gained for navigational skill, abilities on checkpoints, and correct answers on the question sheet... but the hike isn't a race!

The event (now going into its 9th year) attracts entries from more than 60 teams from all over the UK: Greater Manchester, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and Lancashire to name just a few of the counties involved.

Also we are now running a Adult event in October, to let Leaders, friends and families have a go and see if they can compete as well as the kids.
