First AidImmediate Temporary Care Care (ITC) First Aid - 2 day A practical two day course designed for people who work in the outdoors or who use the outdoors for pleasure. This course is suitable for Individuals, Teachers, Outdoor Instructors, Health Walk Leaders, Climbers, Canoeists, Sailors in fact any one, ML, SPA, BCU, RYA, BOF, MIA, MIC etc. First Aid for The Outdoor Environment The outdoor environment nearly always means that the casualty has to be looked after for a longer timescale than is typical in a more urban setting. All of our Outdoor First Aid courses look at how to manage the situation when the ambulance does not turn up in 10 minutes time and are appropriate if your work or leisure place is remote. Interactive hands-on training is the hallmark of this course, designed for all those working in remote locations in the British Isles. Training and scenarios are based on being more than several minutes up to several hours from help or the rescue team arriving. The first day covers the Emergency Action content with the second day building upon this. This qualification covers the needs of the outdoor national governing bodies for their Instructor awards. The ITC courses, as delivered by Outdoor Activities Service are the only 1 and 2-day Outdoor First Aid courses on the National Database of Approved Qualifications (NDAQ), the Learning Aims Database (LAD) and may be eligible for Learning Skills Council (LSC) funding (J/500/4375).
