Stuart Igoe

Stuart Igoe has been a professional in the field of Outdoor Education since 1980. Stuart is a holder of the Summer and Winter Mountain Leader Awards, Mountaineering Instructors Award, British Orienteering Coach Level 3 (Trainee level 4), British Canoe Union Coach Level 2 Open and Kayak. Stuart is a member of the - The Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI), Mountain Leader Training Association (MLTA), Institute for Outdoor Learning (IfOL), A Mountain Leader Training England (MLTE) Single Pitch Award and Climbing Wall Award course provider, Walking Group Leader Award and Summer Mountain Leader Award course director, British Orienteering course tutor for the Coaching for Teacher Awards, Coach Level 1 and 2 awards, National Navigation Award Scheme - course director, British Canoe Union,.

Stuart is a technical advisor to Trafford MBC Youth Service, Rochdale MBC Youth Service, Bolton MBC Youth Service, NST Travel Winmarley Hall, Energise Oldham, Options 2000 Liverpool, Galloway Sailing Centre,

Staff

All tutor/instructors employed are full time professionals, suitably experienced and highly qualified (Teaching - Primary, Secondary - Special Needs and Youth Work qualifications) in both the soft skills of group dynamics and the hard skills (Mountain Leader Training Board, British Canoe Union, British Orienteering, National Caving Association, etc. qualifications) of the particular activity along with their caring and friendly attitude. Tutors have worked with individuals and groups of all ages from 5 to 85+, Senior Managers, Families, Schools, Charities, Adult (Stag & Hen) Groups, Disadvantaged Young People, Young Offenders, Young People with Challenging Behaviour, Voluntary Youth Organisations, Colleges, Special Needs Organisations. During this time, staff have developed a great understanding of the benefits of personal and social development training using the outdoor environment. This is the essential ingredient to gain satisfaction and value in outdoor adventure education programs.
