Orienteering
The sport that combines the skills of map reading and problem solving . Sometimes called "cunning running" or the "thought sport." Orienteering has something for every one. Using beautifully drawn coloured maps that show every detail of the land, you will be introduced to the skills of map orientation, feature identification, route choice and distance measurement. As your confidence improves we will have you locating more 'cunning' controls, finishing with a mini orienteering event.
All who take part in the Orienteering will be accrdit under the BSOA Explorer Challenge Award scheme.
We are also able to offer the Young Navigator Star Award from the National Navigation Award Scheme.
We are also able to offer the British Orienteering - Orienteering Young Leader Award. This award is suitable for any 14 to 19 year old interested in developing Orienteering Coaching Skills. Aimed to fit with the JSLA.
Adventure Day
Why not combine with Team Building / Problem Solving Exercises, Archery, Rock Climbing, Gorge Walking, Abseiling or Raft Building for an Adventure Day of activities.
Schools and youth groups at your site.
Why not combine Orienteering with our mobile climbing wall, archery and team building exercises to make an Adventure Day. School this day can accommodate large numbers of participants. Please call with you numbers and we can then design a program for your day with costs.
